Where Tradition Meets Excellence
Our journey began in 2018 with The Peppered Goat, a modest establishment driven by one simple mission: to share the vibrant, soul-warming flavors of Nigerian cuisine with Los Angeles. What started as a passion project quickly became a beloved community gathering place.
For five years, we perfected our craft, listening to our customers, refining our recipes, and building relationships that would become the foundation of something greater. Every plate served, every smile shared, taught us what it meant to bring people together through food.

In 2023, we took a leap of faith. Jagabans was born from a desire to elevate Nigerian cuisine to new heights—to show the world that our food deserves a place among the finest dining experiences. The name 'Jagabans' itself speaks to leadership and excellence in Nigerian culture.
We redesigned everything from the ground up: a sophisticated ambiance that honors our heritage, premium ingredients sourced locally and from Nigeria, and presentations that make each dish a work of art. Yet at our core, we remained true to the authentic flavors that made us who we are.

At Jagabans, we believe that Nigerian cuisine is not just food—it's storytelling. Each dish carries generations of wisdom, cultural pride, and the warmth of West African hospitality. From the complex spice blends in our suya to the perfectly balanced heat of our jollof rice, we honor tradition while embracing innovation.
We're committed to inclusivity, offering thoughtfully crafted vegan and vegetarian options alongside our signature meat dishes. Whether you're Nigerian, discovering our cuisine for the first time, or simply seeking an unforgettable meal, Jagabans welcomes you to our table.
